EP30 - Arm-A-Geddon - The robot arm on top of your car

What if your car could defend itself? This week on Brilliant or Bonkers we look at Arm-A-geddon. A car fitted with robot arms that reach out and stop anyone reversing into it. No more car park scrapes, no more mystery dents, and no more coming back to find a note under the wiper (or worse, no note at all).

And the arms don’t just block. They talk. Get a friendly wave when someone lets you into traffic, a thumbs up for good parking, and maybe a gesture or two for the driver who doesn’t indicate.

Can a robot arm really stop a reversing car? Who pays when your car pushes back? What happens when two Arm-A-geddon cars meet in the same car park? Rock, Paper, Scissors? And could this be the start of cars with real personalities?

We pitch it, poke holes in it, and work out how to make money from it. Then the Judgement Giraffe decides: is Arm-A-geddon Brilliant, Bonkers, or Brilliantly Bonkers?
